Current Fundraising

The Carolina Emergency Response Team a Charleston-based 501-C3 nonprofit rescue team is looking for tax-deductible donations to help them be mission-ready and to complete their missions once disaster strikes.

Once a disaster strikes everyone wants to donate. For those who are out of harm’s way, this generally works well. But for those who still happen to be in harm’s way and in need of rescue. That is where we come into play, and to be able to do our job we have to be prepared before the disaster strikes. We are in need of funding for the following items are this time.

  • Two 25hp outboard motors
  • Two 20" chainsaws
  • Two 28" chainsaws
  • Two 36" chainsaws
  • Multiple chainsaw chaps
  • Milwaukee power tool sets
  • Milwaukee scene lighting
  • Kernmantle Rope 250' length's

Roughly around $25,000 in items to help serve the local community and the South East region better. Just this past week our team removed 4 rather large trees from major roadways and made contact with 10 distressed motorists who were stranded by flood water or fallen trees in less than a 12-hour time frame.

Our Swift water and disaster response team members are currently preparing for deployment wherever the next disaster strikes. And we’re asking today for your help. Every donation no matter how big or small helps us achieve our goal of helping those in need when disaster strikes.
